A man died on October 17, 2026, after a medical emergency in his cell at the Whiteville Correctional Facility in Whiteville, Hardeman County, Tennessee, a prison run by CoreCivic. He was taken to Bolivar General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to Tippah News. CoreCivic said the cause of death has not been determined. The Tennessee Department of Correction is investigating the death.
