The Riverside County Sheriff's Department said deputies found a man in his cell during a routine security check of the housing units at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside on August 21, 2021. According to the department, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The department has not released his name and says the death is under investigation. It said it found no signs of foul play.
