St. Louis Medical Examiner data, as reported in the news, shows that one of eight men found inside the Dismas House of St. Louis, a federal halfway house, died of a fentanyl overdose, taken alone or with other drugs. According to the same data, his death and those of the other seven happened between 2021 and 2023. The deaths had not been publicly reported before this.
