A man died of a fentanyl overdose while held at the Dismas House of St. Louis, a federal halfway house in St. Louis, according to St. Louis Medical Examiner data reported by First Alert 4. He was one of eight men found inside the house after overdosing on fentanyl alone or with other drugs. The medical examiner data places these deaths between 2021 and 2023, and KMOV reported that they had not been previously known to the public.
