A 56-year-old man died while held at the Tulare County Pretrial Facility in California. Correctional deputies found him in his single-cell unit just after 9 a.m. on December 24, 2020, and he was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The Tulare County Sheriff's Office said he hanged himself with bed sheets in his cell. An autopsy was to be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
