A man held in the Bell County jail at Belton, Texas, was one of nine men killed in their cells when a mob entered the jail. According to Henry W. Blair's account, printed in 1900, the jailer offered no resistance and handed the keys over to the mob's leaders. The account describes events some years earlier and gives no name or exact date for this man, so little else can be said about who he was or how he died.
