Name not reported
A man whose name is not recorded was held in the Mobile County jail in Mobile, Alabama, when a mob took him from custody and killed him by shooting and hanging. According to a Mobile man quoted by The Montgomery Advertiser in October 1910, the mob found the jail practically unprotected and got the keys from a deputy without a struggle. That account places the killing more than a year before the report. The deputy's handing over of the keys, rather than any resistance, is the detail the account gives for how the mob gained access.
