A man whom the Daily Republican describes as an American Indian was held in a jail in San Bernardino County, California, in March 1881. A masked mob took him from the jail and lynched him. The paper reported the killing in its March 30, 1881 issue, a few days after it happened.
Cause of death, as reported: Taken from custody and lynched. The Daily Republican reported that a masked mob took the man from the San Bernardino County jail and lynched him.
