A man held at the Edgefield County jail in South Carolina died on July 14, 2022, according to the record of his death. Edgefield County deputies said he was found unresponsive in his cell at about 2:10 p.m. that day. The Edgefield County Coroner's Office pronounced him dead, and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is leading the investigation.
