A man held at the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas was found unresponsive in his cell around 2 p.m. on October 18, 2022, and was taken to University Medical Center, where he died. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said he had a physical altercation with his cellmate. The department did not immediately release the reasons for the altercation, and his name was withheld pending notice to his next of kin.
