A 72-year-old man, whose name the sources do not give, died on March 5, 2017, while held at Men's Central Jail in Los Angeles, where he was awaiting trial. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, in a report by Deputy Sheriff Generalist J. Talmadge, said he had suffered a head injury. The Los Angeles Times reports that he had been treated for a head wound hours before his body was found in a wheelchair while he waited to be taken to a hospital. Lt. David Smith of the medical examiner-coroner's office said the cause of death had not yet been determined.
