One of three men, according to a brief telegraphic report in the Sacramento Daily Record-Union of October 10, 1881, was taken from the jail at Las Lunas, New Mexico, by a mob on Friday night and hanged. The report gives no name for him. It is the only account available here, and it does not describe the actions of the jail's staff.
