A 32-year-old woman died after being held at the Sacramento County Main Jail in Sacramento, California. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said she was found unresponsive in her cell on the evening of April 23, 2025, and that she was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The sheriff's office said the death is under investigation and that the coroner will determine the cause. Her name had not been released.
