A 47-year-old man was held at the Theo Lacy Facility in Orange County, California. The Orange County Sheriff's Department said he was taken by ambulance to a local hospital on October 16, 2026, after a medical emergency, and that he died there on October 19, 2026. The sheriff's department has not released his name pending notification of his next of kin. The cause of death is pending an independent autopsy and toxicology.
