A 43-year-old woman died in her single-occupancy cell at the Snohomish County Jail in Everett on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. HeraldNet reported that jail staff found her while delivering lunch, and she died in the cell. The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said it is conducting a morbidity review, and the medical examiner's office is to determine her identity, cause and manner of death. MyNorthwest reported that it was the sixth death of a person held at the jail in about a year.
