A 52-year-old man from Racine died at the Washington County Jail in West Bend, Wisconsin, on January 21, 2022, where he had been held since November 30, 2021. According to the reporting, he had a lengthy medical history. Officers found him in bed, not breathing, during a 15-minute medical check, and jail staff, medical personnel and paramedics tried to save him before he was pronounced dead at the jail. The West Bend Police Department is investigating, and no cause or manner of death has been given.
