Multnomah County Sheriff Nicole Morrisey O'Donnell reported that a person died by suicide in a Multnomah County jail. The death was one of seven deaths in the county's jails from May 2023 until an April 2024 briefing to the Board of County Commissioners. The sheriff's account of the death is the only account of its circumstances in these sources.
