A 65-year-old man held at the Multnomah County jail in Portland had a medical event on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 25, 2026, and was taken to a hospital, where he died the next day, March 26. The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office has not released his name. The sheriff's office said it is investigating, and a multi-agency major crimes team is also looking into the death.
