Emigdio Abel Reyes Clemente died while held in immigration detention by ICE. A Physicians for Human Rights report, based on an independent medical expert review, says staff assumed without testing that he had influenza and did not diagnose his bacterial pneumonia. The report states he died of that untreated pneumonia two days after he was moved to a medical isolation cell.
