A man held at the Brown County Jail in Aberdeen, South Dakota, was found unresponsive there around midday on Thursday, February 8, 2024, according to Sheriff Dave Lunzman. He was taken to a hospital and later transferred to Sioux Falls, where he died. The South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating his death, which the Aberdeen Police Department first handled.
