A 33-year-old man died at the Dale G. Haile Detention Center in Caldwell, Idaho, on January 28, 2023. The Canyon County Sheriff's Office said he was found unresponsive in his cell around 6 a.m. Deputies and paramedics tried to resuscitate him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff's office said it is investigating the death and had not released his name pending notification of his next of kin.
