A 37-year-old man died in March 2026 while held at the Marion County Jail in Florida. The Ocala Gazette reported his death on March 17, 2026, as one of two deaths in custody at the jail that month, the other a 51-year-old man. The Marion County Sheriff's Office declined to say anything about the circumstances of either death.
