A 29-year-old man was held at the Allen County Jail in Kansas. He was found in medical distress and unresponsive in his cell on July 21, 2026, and was taken to Allen County Regional Hospital, then to a hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, where he was placed on life support. He died there on July 22, 2026. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is investigating the death, and the Allen County Sheriff's Office has not released his name.
