A man died on February 19, 2024, while held at the Page County Jail in Clarinda, Iowa. According to Page County Sheriff Lyle Palmer, he was found in his cell that afternoon and taken by ambulance to Clarinda Regional Health Center, where he was pronounced dead. The Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation is investigating, as policy requires. His name had not been released at the time of reporting, pending notification of his family, and no cause of death has been given.
