A 56-year-old man died at the Weld County Jail on the afternoon of Sunday, August 18, 2024. According to the Weld County Critical Incident Response Team, he was found unresponsive, and he was pronounced dead after deputies and medical staff responded. His name had not been released at the time of reporting, and the coroner's office said it would be released after next of kin were notified. The cause and manner of death remain under investigation by the county team.
