A woman in her late 60s died in custody at the Adult Detention Facility in Kingman, Arizona, in May 2022. Mohave County Sheriff's officials said she had refused to eat or drink for several days before she was taken to a hospital, where she was unresponsive on arrival and later pronounced dead. The Mohave County Medical Examiner's Office is to perform an autopsy, and the sheriff's office is investigating the death.
