A woman, 42, died on June 16, 2023, at DuPage County Jail, in the custody of the DuPage County Sheriff's Office. The death was reported to the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority, which does not publish the names of the people who died. The DuPage County Sheriff's Office reported the manner of death as pending. Its report says: “Subject was found unresponsive in her cell. Medical emergency actions were initiated including ambulance notification. Subject was then transported to the hospital.”
