A man, 59, died on June 10, 2020, at Whiteside County Jail, in the custody of the Whiteside County Sheriff's Office. The death was reported to the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority, which does not publish the names of the people who died. The Whiteside County Sheriff's Office reported the manner of death as natural causes. Its report says: “Dinner was served upon tray pick up subject was located unresponsive and life saving measures were started, EMS was activated and all authorities notified.”
