A man, 31, died on October 20, 2019, at Cook County Jail, in the custody of the Cook County Sheriff's Office. The death was reported to the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority, which does not publish the names of the people who died. The Cook County Sheriff's Office reported the manner of death as accident. Its report says: “Determined cause of death was a combination of fentanyyl and acetyl fentanyl toxicity.”
