This person, who was Black, was one of three people a mob took from a jail in Texas and hanged in November 1900, according to a yearly chronology printed in the Crittenden Press in January 1901. They were held in the jail when the mob took them out and hanged them. The killing is attributed to that mob, which took them from custody.
