Executed
Name not reported
A Black man whose name is not recorded was hanged at Mayersville in January 1907, according to a chronology reported by The Falmouth Outlook in January 1908. The report says the hanging took place three minutes before word arrived that his sentence had been commuted. The timing of that notice is the disputed point in the account, which is the only detail given about the execution.
Cause of death, as reported: Executed by the state
