A man held in the jail at Elizabethtown, New Jersey, was taken from the jail by a mob and killed, according to a short item in the Semi-Weekly Interior Journal in May 1892. The man is not named in the item, which is partly garbled in the surviving scan.
Cause of death, as reported: Taken from custody and lynched. A short 1892 newspaper item reports that a mob took a man from the jail at Elizabethtown, New Jersey, and killed him.
