A Black person whose name is not recorded was being led by officers to the jail at McGehee, in Desha County, Arkansas, on September 22, 1894. A mob took them from the officers, along with two others, swung them from telegraph poles and shot them. The Pine Bluff Daily Graphic condemned the killings and called for the people responsible to be brought to justice.
Cause of death, as reported: Taken from custody and lynched. A mob took the person from officers who were leading them to the jail at McGehee, hanged them from a telegraph pole and shot them, according to the Pine Bluff Daily Graphic.
