A 15-year-old boy, the son of Peter Bonin, was held in a jail in Wetumpka, Alabama, together with his father. On Sunday, August 20, 1899, a mob took both of them from the jail and lynched them. Both died at the hands of the mob after being taken from the custody of the jail.
