Three men held in the jail at Ozark, Franklin County, Arkansas, were taken from the building by a mob of about one hundred masked men on a Tuesday night in early August 1874 and hanged. The Shenandoah Herald's account gives no names for the men. Their ages, race, and the mob's means of entry are not given in the account.
