A person held at the Greene County Detention Center in Paragould, Arkansas, died on February 6, 2024. According to Greene County Sheriff Brad Snyder, jail staff found them unresponsive in an isolation cell during a wellness check that evening, and they were pronounced dead at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. The sheriff's office has not released the person's name pending notification of next of kin. The Arkansas State Police are investigating, and the body was sent to the state crime lab to determine the cause of death.
