A man died on Saturday, October 14, 2023, while held at Greensville Correctional Center in Jarratt, Virginia, according to the Virginia Department of Corrections. The department said he was unresponsive in his cell. The department said the cause of death is under investigation and has not been determined. It said this was the fourth death at the prison in under three months, and that the three earlier deaths were overdoses.
