A woman held at the Clarke County Jail in east Mississippi was found unresponsive on a Sunday morning in June 2025 and was pronounced dead. The Clarke County Sheriff's Office said the death appeared to be a suicide, and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has taken over the investigation. Her name had not been released while next of kin were notified.
