This man was one of five men who were in the jail at Versailles, Indiana, when a mob took them from it and hanged them. A brief historical note, published in the Laredo Weekly Times in 1922, is the source for these killings, and it gives the date as September 1837. No name or age is recorded for him. He was held in the jail's custody when the mob took him and killed him.
