A man held at the Habersham County Detention Center in Georgia was found dead in his cell early on July 13, 2023, according to the Habersham County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office said he had numerous health issues and asked the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to investigate, as it does in in-custody deaths. Reports from FOX 5 Atlanta describe him being found unconscious in his cell, and the cause of death has not been determined.
