A man held at the Irwin County Correctional Facility in Ocilla, Georgia, was found dead on May 29, 2023, Memorial Day. Irwin County Sheriff Cody Youghn said an autopsy reportedly found that he died of an overdose, and that methamphetamine and fentanyl were found with him. The sheriff's office said an investigator has been assigned to determine how the drugs got into the facility.
