A man held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center in Marietta, Georgia, was found unresponsive during a routine check on April 28, 2021. The Cobb County Sheriff's Office said he had made an apparent suicide attempt. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital. His name had not been released because officials were still trying to reach his family, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was asked to investigate his death.
