A 68-year-old man died on June 16, 2022, at the William E. Donaldson Correctional Facility in Bessemer, Alabama, where he was held. According to the coroner's office, he died of significant natural disease. He had been treated in the prison infirmary for a serious illness, and was found unresponsive there early that morning, and was pronounced dead at 4:43 a.m. His name was not released.
Cause of death, as reported: Died of illness. The Jefferson County Medical Examiner's Office believes the death was from natural causes, pending examination.
