A 26-year-old man died on May 17, 2024, while held at Post 25 Alpha of the Adult Correctional Facility in Mangilao, Guam. According to Department of Corrections Director Fred Bordallo Jr., he was found unconscious by security personnel, and he was pronounced dead at U.S. Naval Hospital Guam. The director said he had no information that violence or a disturbance occurred. The Guam Police Department and the corrections department's internal affairs office are investigating, and an autopsy has been requested to determine the cause of death.
