A man died in his cell in the medical housing unit at Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center in Sacramento County, according to the sheriff's office. The sheriff's office said he was housed alone because of ongoing medical issues and that investigators do not suspect foul play. Deputies found him at about 4:00 a.m. and called for medical help, but he was pronounced dead when the fire department arrived. His name has not been released, and no cause of death has been reported.
