According to a report from Manila printed in the Evening Times-Republican, sixteen people held at Bilibid prison in Manila died on December 7, 1904, when about 500 of the people held there made a dash for liberty. Forty others were wounded, and several of the wounded were said to be in grave condition.

Cause of death, as reported: Cause not yet determined. A 1904 newspaper report says this prisoner was one of sixteen killed when about 500 convicts tried to break out of Bilibid prison, but it does not say who fired.
