A man aged 56 died on April 26, 2025, while held at the Santa Clara County Main Jail Complex in San Jose, California. The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office said he was found unresponsive in his cell. He was pronounced dead at about 5:45 p.m. The sheriff's office said a preliminary investigation found no signs of foul play, and police are investigating the circumstances of his death.
