A 51-year-old man died on July 22, 2019, at Eastern Correctional Institution in Westover, Maryland, a state prison. The Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services said he was found unresponsive in his cell that evening. He was taken to Peninsula General Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The department said the cause and manner of death will be determined by the medical examiner after an autopsy.
