A 38-year-old man died on Sept. 7, 2023, in the medical housing unit of the Snohomish County jail in Everett. According to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office, he had been housed there with two other people on medical detox watch, and staff found him unresponsive just before 8 a.m. The sheriff's office has not announced a cause or manner of death.
