A person held at the Spokane County Jail was found dead in a cell on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 27, 2018, after deputies were called while people were being let out of their cells. Major Crimes detectives with the Spokane County Sheriff's Office are processing the scene and interviewing people held at the jail and staff. The person's name has not been released; the Spokane County Medical Examiner's Office is to release it later. No cause or manner of death has been given.
